Joseph Lau, Research Center Director
Mr. Joseph Lau is working at Division of Bussiness and Hospitality Management, College of Professional and Continuing Education, The Hong Kong Polytechninc University. He has published more than 160 research papers in international journals and professional magazines, contributed 7 books chapters, 2 books and presented numerous papers in international conferences. He has collaborated with scholars from more than 20 countries and regions spreading over five continents on research projects. He has also secured over HK$ 6.8 million research grants. Recently, he has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Institute of Seatransport in recognition of his outstanding performance on research and the Best Paper Award in international leading conferences. He has been appointed as Associate, University of Manitoba, Transport Institute, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; Visiting Scholar, School of Urban and Regional Science, East China Normal University. His research interests regional studies. Mr Lau has been active in scholarly activities. For example, he is an Editor in Chief of Seaview, Section Editor of Data in Brief, 2017, and the committe member of Higher Education Forum.
Dr. Tiffany Leung
Dr. Tiffany Leung is an Assistant Professor at City University of Macau. She gained her doctorate from the School of Management at the University of St Andrews (Scotland) in 2014. Her research interests are Social and Environmental Accounting (SEA), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Creating Shared Value (CSV), Controversial Industries, and Business Ethics. Currently, she is the board member of Accounting Forum and an Ad Hoc Reviewer for a number of journals, such as Business Ethics: A European Review, Meditari Accountancy Research, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, International Gambling Studies and International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction. She won “Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence” in 2017 and “Outstanding Research-Scholarly Performance Award 2017/18” in College of Professional and Continuing Education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also received an Inter-Institutional Development Scheme (IIDS) from Competitive Research Funding Schemes (Hong Kong) for the local self-financing degree sector in 2015-2016 as a co-principal investigator.
