The Center for European Resources on Sustainability (CERS) is a think-tank that promotes sustainable development, acting as a resource aggregator, catalyst, and integrator for sustainable solutions. CERS facilitates collaboration between public authorities, the private sector, academia, and civil society, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and EU strategies.

Research and Analysis
  • Conducting comprehensive studies and producing analytical reports regarding sustainable development, thus enabling informed and strategic decision-making through qualified support.

In line with the visionary frameworks set out by the United Nations and the European Union towards 2050, centered on climate neutrality, social equity, and sustainable economic transformation, CERS aligns its strategic outlook to not only meet these ambitious milestones but to go beyond them. Looking towards 2050 and further ahead, CERS aims to act as a disruptor for sustainable development, by being a forward-thinking catalyst and integrator, anticipating emerging sustainability trends, technological innovations, and evolving societal needs. By fostering collaborative networks and leveraging multi-sector resources, CERS aspires to drive systemic change, ensuring that the pathways defined today result in resilient, thriving communities tomorrow and beyond.

CERS is a founding member of Building Our Sustainable Future. The project addresses issues related to the impact of the built environment on achieving targets set by the Sustainable Development Goals globally, the interaction between the built and natural environments, and the connection between the built environment and the quality of life.
